I was born and raised in Sezela, a beautiful sea-side hamlet on the Natal South Cost.  I am part of a large family; 4 brothers and 5 sisters, my loving parents whom I miss very much are deceased.

I matriculated at Umzinto High School in 1974 and did my tertiary studies at the University of Durban-Westville, obtaining my B.Pharm Degree in 1978.  1979 was my internship year at Northdale Hospital (Pietermaritzburg), where I worked as pharmacist for 3-years.

In 1982 I transferred to Dundee Hospital as Senior Pharmacist and managed the pharmacy ever since.

I am blessed with a wife and 4 children.  My wife is a professional nurse at Dundee Hospital, my eldest daughter - a 1^st year LLB student at Wits University and the other children are still at school.

Much to my delight I was appointed as Hospital Manager, a post which I cherish.  I promise to be a good manager and leader, dedicated, hard-working, transparent and just.  Together with the efforts of our dedicated staff we are going to strive to achieve the Vision of our Department “Optimum Health for all”.  I will ensure that the Batho-Pele Principles are strictly adhered to as quality care is provided to our clients.
