- Letter from Ms T Zuma
- I am quite impressed with the service offered by staff Nurses
(ward 5B1) so far. My sister was admitted on Sunday and I haven’t seen
her condition as I am based in JHB.I call the hospital more than 5 times
a day and nurses are very patient with me and always willing to answer
all my questions. This makes me feel better and I will be coming down
month end to see my sister.Innocentia Hadebe (11/04/08)
- Nokuthula Ngcobo would like to thank the staff of 7M for the
high care and warm hands that she received from the 7M staff. She prays
that God may keep them forever. They do their job wholeheartedly. They
are the stars, night and day staff are the same. If it is possible other
staff members from different department may learn how to behave, work
and to be sympathetic with the patients.
- Their work is highly appreciated by most of people
- If there is any problem or fault done by the patient or the lodger
mother they speak softly with manners, no shouting or scolding
- They are fast and intelligent
- Please matrons always keep these nurses in 7M (ICU) because of their
competency
I saw all these activities while my child Mnqobi Ngcobo was
admitted there, in May 2007. I also thank the Doctors for their highly
appreciated job. My child was very sick but I was given hope by the
nurses and doctors. Today my child is in 7F in a satisfactory condition.
- Nkululeko Shezi would like to thank all the staff at D ward for
saving his life, they have treated me well. They know how to treat
patients even if you cannot wash yourself or walk; they are there to
help you.
- My daughter Nomonde Khumalo was injured by a Taxi in November, 13
2007 at Willowfontein Road. She was taken to Edendale Hospital where she
received top treatment but unfortunately has to be amputated. The
doctors who saw her were Greatorex, Ntoomba, Dachs, Babu and Groenewald
(in no particular order).
She spent close to eight weeks in hospital and of those 3 separate days
was spent in Intensive Care Unit as she bled furiously. I would like to
thank the Hospital for understanding our religion and stance with regard
to Blood Transfusion. Thanks for the job well done by all involved not
least the O.T. division for teaching her to take a foot step (she lost
her right leg- from knee down)
Is it possible for the hospital to assist Nomonde on getting State
Grant? We tried to apply but was chased out from the SASSA offices in
Pietermaritz Street, they said she don’t qualify for a Disability Grant.
Regards,
Welile Khumalo
