Service Delivery Charter for Edendale Hospital

Situated in Pietermaritzburg, Edendale is a Regional and District
level Hospital fully recognized for post-graduate teaching in all major
discipline. It has 900 beds (480 regional & 420 district)

Closure : Edendale hospital
Kindly note that the front main Hospital entrance would be closed off completely
as of Monday morning 07h00 (3-December 2012) due to the A&E upgrade. All
pedestrians ,patients and staff will walk through the walkway between the
Gateway Clinic and the Revenue Department and enter using the Ambulance patient
drop off entrance.
Only delivery vehicles and Mortuary vehicles are to use the temporary
constructed dirt road between the CDC and A&E upgrade sites.
Temporary signage would be in place.
All HODs kindly make the necessary adjustments to ensure that your departments
are full functional.
