Estcourt hospital takes a girl child to work
| On the 25 August 2005, Escourt Provincial Hospital embarked on
a “Take a Girl Child to Work Project. The main of this project was to educate the school children especial those who come from the disadvantaged school within our sub districts about the carreer opportunities in the department of health and to inform them about job opportunities and the bursaries available. 16 School children were invited from different local high schools and they were also given an opportunity to go around the hospital and others were allocated to different departments. 4 children from each of the following high schools were invited: UMTSHEZI HIGH, ABANTUNGWA HIGH, KHANDIMFUNDO HIGH AND CELUKUPHIWA SECONDARY SCHOOL. We would like to thank our Hospital Management, the wards, and the departments for the support and participation during the “Take a Girl Child To Work Project” in the hospital. |
