Dear Member of the Media,
The KZN Department of Health cordially invites you to commemorate World Vision Day at McCord Hospital with MEC for Health, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, tomorrow, Thursday 19 October 2017.
According to the South African National Council for the Blind (SACB) more than 80% of all visual impairment can be prevented or cured. Thus, World Vision Day aims to alert the public on preventing blindness and other eye illnesses.
In honour of this day, MEC Dhlomo, in conjunction with the International Islamic Relief Organisation of South Africa (IIROSA), will be offering a Free Cataract Eye Camp at the Department’s Eye Care Centre of Excellence in KwaZulu-Natal, McCord’s Hospital.
