Ndwedwe Community Health Centre is located under the Ndwedwe Local Municipality. Ndwedwe is an administrative area in the iLembe District of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. The CHC is under the Ilembe Health District under the Captaincy of Ms S Dube.

The Community Health Centre operates 24 hours and has 19 beds. The CHC serves a population of about 60 000 people who reside in Ndwedwe Sub-District and other surrounding catchment areas. The CHC is located at P100 Cannelands Road and is in close proximity to the taxi rank and most amenities including the Police service and several government offices- located in relatively close proximity to major urban and economic developments. The area has remained substantially underdeveloped, disadvantaged and poor.

Towns in the municipality include Ndwedwe and Glendale Heights. There are several schools surrounding the CHC. The CHC is also used as a war room by the Sukuma Sakhe Flagship program by the Office of the Premier.[ Read More ]
