Pharmacy Week Celebration

Ngwelezana Hospital took part in the National Celebration of Pharmacy Week. The first week of September every year is treated as a Pharmacy week in the Department of Health. During this week the relationship between the Pharmacist and the Client who uses the service of the Pharmacy is strengthened. Ngwelezana Hospital gave patients who use the service of their pharmacy a chance to know their pharmacy better. There were open sessions during the week where patients met with the Pharmacist to discuss their medication. Some patients even asked the Pharmacy Manager Mr Cajee about the importance of using the medicine while you feel it makes no difference in their situation. Mr Cajee explained that they need to discuss such issues with their Doctors who prescribed the medication. He further told them to be open to their Doctors about the medication they use if it makes no significance in their life anymore.   The Hospital would like to thank all the people who used the opportunity to discuss issues with the Pharmacy and also the generous sponsors who donated different gifts that were given to the people.
