• CMSA exam results: successful candidates in recent CMSA 2006

• Primary (FCS Part I) : Dr P Ryan | Dr De Wet
• FCOrtho Final: Dr P Tzvetanov
   
• Dr Anton Rocher was successful in the Part I Fellowship exam (FCS) of CMSA held in April 2006. Congratulations!
   

• Dr James MacAllister and Dr Andre Human were similarly invited for orals for Intermediate exams (FSC) of CMSA in April 2006.  Best of luck for their orals!
   

• Two Doctors from PMB complex passed the exams:
  Dr. PeOo passed his final FCS(Ortho) held at Cape Town in Sept/October 2005.
  Dr. Masondo passed his 1st Part FCS
  Big congratulations to both of them
   

• Two candidates from this department passed the recent FCS Primary exams of the CMSA held in March 2005.  They are Dr Paul Hatfield and Dr Bhavna Jugadoe Congratulations!
   

• The Department of Orthopaedics, Edendale have started an in-house in service plaster technicians course of 6 weeks duration. In view of the scarcity of plaster technicians across the board, they plan to extend this training to other draining and surrounding hospitals as well. The candidate has to be an ENA or staff nurse. The aim of this exercise being to get a reliable safe plaster technician  that will help in the effective management of many common fracture.   This year's 1st batch of 8 nurses are finishing their 6 week plaster technicians course on Friday 13 May 2005!  Well done to them!
