Mrs P Padayachee assumed the position of General Manager
on 1st May 2006. Mrs Padayachee joined the public service on 1st May 1975 and worked at Northdale Hospital doing clerical and administrative work for more than 17 years until September 1991. Padayachee studied on a part time basis and successfully completed the Diploma in Public Administration. She moved to Natalia and joined the erstwhile General Provincial Services in October 1991 and from then on she moved up the corporate ladder and in 1998, she joined the middle management ranks as a Deputy Manager in the Department of Health, a post which she held for just over three years when she was promoted to the post of Director: Advisory Services to the Superintendent-General. As a careered public servant, Mrs Padayachee has acquired vast knowledge, expertise and skills in a wide range of activities in the administrative and management fields. She now holds the post of General Manager of this very challenging component. Mrs Padayachee is also a trained Job Analyst and a Mentor. She completed the Presidential Leadership Development Programme in January 2006. She is also currently undergoing accreditation in the field of Organisational Culture. Mrs Padayachee has completed 31 years of service on 01/05/2006 and believes that she has lots to offer in the field of public management and looks forward to making a meaningful contribution in the Department of Health. |
