Professional Qualifications

Attended the Witwatersrand College of Nursing where she
qualified as a Professional Nurse in 1971 and Midwife in 1972.

In 1974 completed the Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing.

1980 completed the degree B. Cur (Education and
Administration) at the Rand Afrikaans University.

1991, obtained the degree Master of Social Science (Nursing
Management) from the University of Natal.
Professional Experience
Practised as a Psychiatric Nurse for 10 years at Tara
Hospital in Sandton.
Moved to Natal in 1983 and has since filled various
positions in the Primary Health Care Services of the province – the most recent
being the provincial Programme Manager for Maternal, Child and Women’s Health
services.
Promoted in 2002 to Hospital Manager of Port Shepstone
Regional Hospital.
Promoted to General Manager : Public Health Services with
effect from 1 March 2005.
