Mission: To be a leader in providing Port
Health Services and facilities to accommodate the transportation
of Cargo and Passengers by Air, Water and Land within the
KwaZulu-Natal Province.
Goal: To provide a comprehensive Port
Health Service to all our Customers on an ongoing basis in terms
of the International Health Regulations and other relevant
Health legislation.

The Port Health
Section of the Department of Health is responsible for carrying
out all of the statutory functions of the Port Health Authority
at all Ports, Airports and Borderposts within the Province
The Service is divided into four (4) Operating Areas :-
- Durban Harbour
- King Sharka International Airport (Durban)
- Richards Bay Harbour
- Land Borderposts
We are a 24 hour / 365 days a year service and operate from
various centres including our Headquarters which are based at 18
Stanger Street, Durban
