TB blitz at Uthungulu district - Nseleni Township : 03 September 2006
Even though it was raining cats and dogs people still came in numbers to listen to their leaders addressing them about TB and other relevant diseases. This was a blessed day. As we know, TB is a crises all over the country. The Department of Health is trying by all means to teach our community and to ensure that people are taking precaution accordingly and they are well educated about this disease.

This time it was not only the Department of Health MEC Mrs. P. Nkonyeni but also the Premier of KZN Dr. S. Ndebele himself who attended the event. Senior members of the Department of Health came in numbers to say enough is enough to TB.

Pamphlets were issued to the community members at the Taxi and bus ranks and some identified houses were visited by the Premier and the MEC and other Senior members of the Department including the Chief Operations Officer Mr.N Nkosi, Mr. L Mbangwa and Dr. S. Zungu. Other senior members were present and preached the same message to our community. “Sithi ke phansi nge TB phansi , Phambili ngempilo phambili”
