CATO MANOR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE
Cato Manor Community Health Centre is situated at Umkhumbane (Mayville) in Ethekwini District; it has a total of 16 beds in the Medical Outpatient Unit
Cato Manor Community Health Centre is run by both Provincial Health and the eThekwini Municipality. In March 2004, eThekwini Municipality opened the Cato Manor Facility and was joined by the Provincial Government in April 2005.
The Cato Manor Facility is situated in a densely populated area with a high unemployment rate, low socio economic conditions with many clients being poverty-stricken
Access is made easy by the fact that the facility is situated within the catchment area near informal and formal houses. It directly serves a population of 70 000 people. The facility is committed to the Batho Pele principles and Patient Rights Charter
All medical and surgical patients are referred to Wentworth hospital. Maternity patients and neonates are referred to King Edward VIII hospital
