Hlengisizwe Community Health Centre
Hlengisizwe Community Health Centre is situated at Hammersdale, Mpumalanga Township in eThekwini. It has a total of 16 beds. Hlengisizwe CHC serves the population that resides in the Hammersdale catchment areas. Hlengisizwe Community Health Centre was built by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health.In April 1999 the then MEC for health Hon Dr Zweli Mkhize gave instructions that the facility be opened.
It directly serves a population of 85 784 and indirectly serves as a referral for 6 affiliation clinics and 2 mobile clinics – this amounts to a total population of 284 030.
The institution is committed to the Batho Pele principles and Patient Rights Charter.
