Welcome to the KWAZULU-NATAL COLLEGE OF NURSING (KZNCN) website. The KZNCN is a Public Nursing College under the auspices of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health(KZN-DOH) and its primary responsibility is to provide quality nursing education and training programmes that are accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and Council on Higher Education(CHE), and registered with South African Qualifications Authority(SAQA), as well as recognized and designated by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as a Higher Education College(HEC). The KZNCN is a single nursing college instituted by eleven (11) Campuses vastly located across the various districts within the Province.
KZNCN programmes address the needs of KZN province with a focus on professional, legal and ethical foundations of nursing. Students are guided by passionate academic staff to become competent nurse practitioners with scientific background.
Our programs are comprised of theoretical and clinical component and students are placed in clinical facilities across KZN province for clinical learning experiences as directed by SANC.
