Vision

To lead Nursing Education and to achieve excellence in nursing through education and training of nurses and midwives registrable with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) at Basic and Post-registration levels.

Historical background of Port Shepstone Campus

Nurse training began in 1992. In February 2000, the first group of ENA’s commenced the one year course leading to enrolment as a Nurse (R2175). On 5th June 2003 the SANC approved the Bridging to Professional Nurse Programme. The first intake of a group of 25 students for the R425 program took place in 1 January 2006. In 2011 the campus commenced the one year Midwifery course R254.
