Harry Gwala health district is found in the south of KwaZulu-Natal. The population is estimated at 526 946.

The district is divided into four local municipalities (sub-districts): Greater Kokstad, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini –Zuma, UMzimkhulu and Ubuhlebezwe. Institutions that provide health services per Municipality.
