Sisonke health district is found in the south of KwaZulu-Natal. The population is estimated at 508 033.

The district is divided into five municipalities: Greater Kokstad, Ingwe, Kwa-Sani, uMzimkhumu and Ubuhlebezwe. Institutions that provide health services per Municipality.
