The hospital is authorised to use 338 beds, but due to the influx of patients from outside the sub-district and the disease pandemic, 359 beds are used.

Vryheid hospital has 14 fixed clinics (including gateway) and three (3) mobile clinics which have 47 visiting points.

"Quality Care is our Business" has been the motto that drove staff in service delivery improvement since 2006.  Emphasis has been put on the "Prevetative and Promotive is our business" since the beginning of 2008, hence our motto: Quality Care and Preventative and Promotive Health is our business at Vryheid hospital"
