Pelebox

The Pelebox, also known as a Smart Locker, has been designed and built by Technovera

Peleboxes have been allocated to various clinics to assist chronic patients who collect their medicines on the CCMDD Programme, to collect their medicines quicker and faster with the use of smart technology

What's inside the lockers?

The lockers contain medicine parcels for CCMDD patients packaged in brown boxes

What type of medicines are on the CCMDD programme?

Medicines used to manage all types of chronic conditions

How does it work?

The patient who is being registered on the CCMDD Programme chooses the Pelebox as a Pick Up Point. Thereafter, the medicine parcel is deliverd to the clinic. On the day before the scheduled collection date, the patient's parcel is loaded into the locker.

When the locker is loaded, the patient gets an SMS with a One Time Pin. The patient then comes to the locker, uses his One Time Pin or 13 digit ID number to open the locker.

The patient closes the locker and leaves with his parcel

Who can choose the Pelebox?

Any patient on the CCMDD programm can choose the Pelebox

When can a patient come to the Pelebox to get their parcel

If the Pelebox is outside the clinic, it is accessible 24/7. In some clinics, the Pelebox is inside the clinic and these are accessible only during operational hours of the clinic

What happens if a patient loses his One Time Pin

You are able to access the locker with your 13 digit ID number and your cellphone number. There is also an option to resend the Pin.

What happens if the locker does not open?

You must go inside the clinic and ask for help. The Pharmacist assistant will be able to help you.

Does the system allow the patient to update his cellphone number when he comes to collets

Yes it does
