Hlengisizwe Community Health Centre was built by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. In April 1999 the then MEC for health Hon Dr Zweli Mkhize gave instructions that the facility be opened.
It directly serves a population of 115 000 and indirectly serves as a referral for 5 affiliation clinics, this amounts to a total population of 140 000.The institution is committed to the Batho Pele principles and Patient Rights Charter.
Hlengisizwe's vision is to improve health status for all persons in Outer West Sub-Health District. This vision is supported by the mission and core values.
