| District Health services are jointly provided by the Provincial Department of Health and the Local Government authority, with the former contributing 60% and the latter 40%. The District office also manages the Ilembe District (DC 29). The Provincial Primary Health Care service in the Metro has a number of services/programmes, which need to be integrated within the context of the overall city plan, as well as the process of devolving PHC Services to Local Government. |
