Queen Nandi Regional Hospital

Queen Nandi Regional hospital is dedicated exclusively to the care of obstetrical, gynaecological and neonatal patients. The hospital averages approximately 8,000 deliveries, and performs approximately 2,000 gynaecological surgery procedures, per year. The hospital has 369 beds and is linked to the KwaZulu-Natal University Medical School.

Queen Nandi hospital is situated in the KwaZulu-Natal town of Empangeni. Empangeni is an hour and a half’s drive north of the city of Durban, along an excellent highway. It is less than half an hour from the busy coastal port and warm water surfing beaches of Richards Bay, with its large shopping malls, many restaurants and movie theatres.

Empangeni is a bustling, safe and friendly town, situated within an extensive sugar farming area, and has a rich and interesting history.
