GJ Crookes Hospital is situated in the Umdoni Local Municipality under UGU District and covers an area of 2 470 square km. It is about 50km from the city of Durban and 65 km from Port Shepstone on the South Coast. The hospital is bordered by Umkomaas River on the North and the Umzumbe River on the South, Highflats on the west and the Indian Ocean on the East. Directions to the hospital: Turn off the N2 coming from the North (Durban to Scottburgh) - take the Scottburgh/Dududu off ramp (left turn) and drive towards the sea to join up with the R102 and (right turn) follow signposts to G.J. Crookes hospital.
Turn off the N2 coming from the South (Port Shepstone to Scottburgh) - take the Park Rynie off ramp (left turn) - turn right to join up with the R102 and follow signs to Scottburgh and to G.J. Crookes hospital.
